The internship program is for postdocs and junior researchers employed at Karolinska Institutet. The program offers an opportunity to perform an internship up to three months in a company or organization within the life science area, both the public and private sector. This program will be ongoing during the whole year 2012.

The PhD Club together with KI Career Service invites you to an interactive seminar to answer these questions. The inspiring Henrik Pompeius who has a long experience of recruitment processes in life science, will guide you on how to get your CV in the top of the pile, how to write an attractive personal letter and how to succeed in the interview process! In addition, you will get info from Trygghetsstiftelsen about their support to PhD students at KI. The seminar will be given the 26th of January, from 5-7pm in, Samuelsson Lecture Hall, Campus Solna. To get the most of this lecture please bring your own CV or send it to thephdclub@ki.se before the 10th of January for Henrik to have a look at it!

The 16th of February is the opening of Innovation Office in Flemingsberg. There will be a drop-in on Thursdays between 1 pm and 5 pm for everyone with an idea within health or medicine. You can always visit the Innovation Office at Campus Solna, at Nobels väg 15 a. All the services are free of charge.

Vetenskapsrådet och Riksdagens utvärderings- och forskningsfunktion utlyser bidrag för tjänst inom Riksdagens forskningsstipendiatprogram. Doktorandens forskning ska vara inriktad mot ”framtidens hälsa” och falla inom ramen för något av områdena fetma, regenerativ medicin och stamcellforskning. Syftet med satsningen är att doktoranden får möjlighet att kommunicera sina forskningsrön till beslutsfattare.

Tre månaders tjänstgöring i riksdagen för doktorand

Det finns ytterligare Erasmusmedel att söka för kompetensutveckling/personalfortbildning inom Europa under våren/sommaren 2012! Utlandsvistelsen måste vara genomförd senast september 2012.

The purpose of the Foundation is to promote scientific research into nutritional sciences in Sweden and Norway. Vetenskapsrådets nya bidragsform — Internationell postdok, ska ge unga forskare en attraktiv internationell start på karriären. För att kunna söka internationell postdok ska du ha svensk doktorsexamen eller examen från European University Institute (EUI). Din examen får inte vara äldre än två år.

In order to stimulate early doctoral education of medical, dental and psychology students, the Board of Doctoral Education at the Karolinska Institute (KI) has initiated the Clinical Scientist Training Programme (CSTP). The CSTP grants are to be used for partial financing for doctoral students and each grant corresponds to a doctoral student allowance for 2+2 years.
