Government bill presented on fees for non-EU/EEA studentsThis spring the Swedish government presented a bill entitled "Competing on the basis of quality - tuition fees for foreign students". The bill suggests that study fees for students from outside the EU/EEA area should be apply from autumn 2011. More housing for exchange studentsThis year Stockholm University is able to offer an additional seventy new student apartments for exchange students, bringing the current total to 408. From mid-February, another twenty-five apartments became available, bringing the total to 433 apartments. |

Application dates for master's programmesA small number of our international master's programmes begin during the spring term 2011. For prospective students wishing to commence their studies during spring 2011, application opens on June 1, 2010 and continues until the closing date, on August 1, 2010. There are eleven master's programmes in total starting in spring 2011, and all except one – in law – are within the the Faculty of Science. |

Stockholm at Expo 2010 in ShanghaiStockholm is taking part in the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. "World Exhibitions are huge events where you compete with the whole world for attention, so you have to be smart in order to reach out. The theme of the entire World Expo is Better City, Better Life, and it suits us just fine, since Stockholm is named European Green Capital 2010," said Sten Nordin, Mayor of Stockholm. |
